The Banjo Minnow has been seen on infomercials for many years now. Most folks don't put a whole lot of confidence in TV ads, and are skeptical about the promised results. First of all, if you bought TV air time, you need to sell your product. Sometimes the product is just junk! This soft plastic lure is not one of those junk products. It really does work. There is a bit of Hollywood hype in the commercials, but they have to get your attention some how. You WILL NOT catch bass from a swimming pool using the Banjo Minnow. You still need to put yourself where the fish are. Some bass fishing lures are designed for a specific depth and speed. There is nothing wrong with this. This plastic minnow is able to remain effective at different speeds and depths. So, it gets high marks for versatility. There is a nice DVD that comes with the kit that shows you everything you need to know. If you follow the instructions, the Banjo is very easy to use which makes it a great beginner bass lure. In the hands of a trained fisherman like yourself, it is a great addition to some bass grabbin' gear. The implied selling angle is that you will be able to catch fish anywhere at any time. If you've spent much time on the water, you know this to be false. Some people surely have been disappointed when they went to the goldfish pond downtown, and couldn't catch a 5 pound bass! Approach fishing this lure with the same planning of where and when to fish, to maximize your success. That is when this lure will shine!

are all about the stop and go retrieve. It is uncanny how well you can imitate a dying minnow. Spastic jerks followed by a limp and lifeless glide. Then the minnow comes back to life and twitches and jerks. This definitely drives bass crazy! The rigging system has been redesigned for easier use and durability, and changing minnows is quick. Hooking up the weedless rig takes a little practice, but it is no harder than tying some knots.
