Loop Knot
A loop knot will get you back in business after a break off. Bass fishing with a fly rod can be a real challenge. If you don't let them run a bit, you will definitely be tying this knot. Bass put up one heck of a fight and can snap small tippets. So here we go...

Make a loop with the line keeping the working end under the standing end and leave a few inches extra.

Hold where the lines cross, grab the loop and make a full turn counter clockwise (toward your left).

Hold both crossing points and bring the working end up and between the two loops you made.

Pass the second loop you made through the first.

Slowly tighten the knot by and adjust it to the size you want. Pulling the standing end more will make a smaller loop. There's your loop knot.
