Rapala Knot
The Rapala Knot gives the lure a little breathing room to wiggle or wobble the way it was designed to. The drag on the eyelet can kill some of the action, especially with heavy fluorocarbon. More tail action will also allow more rattle if the bait has one. Don't let the name limit your use of this handy knot. It works great with all crankbaits and other swim baits as well.

Start by making and overhand knot, leaving a few inches of slack, and run it through the eyelet.

Next pass the working end of the line through the loop you made in the standing line.

Wrap the working end 3 times around the standing line behind the loop. Then bring the end back through the center of your loop again.

Pass the working end back through the loop you just made. You are basically tying a cinch knot at the end of the process. Now, watch it wiggle. See it jiggle!
