What A Day

I knew the forecast said 80% chance of rain... but heck.. I didn't care. I knew the bass were spawning and I was going to one of my favorite lakes... a lake that has more 10 lb+ bass than you know what to do with. I get all the way to the lake (a lake called Stucky's) and put my boat in.. only to realize I have forgotten my polarized glasses. The nearest Walmart was over 45 min away. You talk about mad...! After nearly an hour and a half.. I get back from Walmart.. new glasses in hand.. and get to the lake. I don't troll but maybe 40 yards and come across a female spawning that looks the size of carp. I anchor down.. and fish for her hard for nearly thirty min before she engulfs it. I fight her nearly 2-3 min.. her ripping 20 yards of drag off before I finally scoop her up in the net. Needless to say.. it didn't even really rain.. more of a light sprinkle here in there. Luckily those weather people didn't know what they were talking about. I ended up weighing her on my new Rapala scale... 11 lbs.. 2 ounces. What a hog! My email is Ryan.Watson@robins.af.mil or blue_eyed_guy182004@yahoo.com if you would like to see many other big bass pics of mine.
